Billie Joe Armstrong urges ICE agents to quit ahead of Super Bowl performance

Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day urged agents of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to resign during a concert Friday in San Francisco, two days before the band's scheduled Super Bowl pregame performance.

Speaking at a Spotify-sponsored event at Pier 29, Armstrong addressed ICE agents directly from the stage. "Quit your shitty ass job. Quit that shitty job you have," he said. "Because when this is over, and it will be over at some point of time, Kristi Noem, Stephen Miller, JD Vance, Donald Trump — they're gonna drop you like a bad fucking habit. Come on to this side of the line."

Armstrong's remarks came as ICE agents were reported to be patrolling the Super Bowl at Levi's Stadium in the San Francisco Bay Area. The band is scheduled to perform during the pregame show Sunday, with Bad Bunny as the main halftime attraction.

During the same performance, Armstrong modified lyrics from Green Day's song "Holiday" to reference current events. He changed the line "the representative from California has the floor" to "the representative from Epstein Island has the floor," an apparent reference to Jeffrey Epstein.

The White House had not issued a public response to Armstrong's remarks as of the time of reporting.
