Charlie Puth will sing the national anthem at Super Bowl LX on Sunday before the New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The 34-year-old musician, known for pop hits including "See You Again," "We Don't Talk Anymore," "Attention," and "Marvin Gaye," has described the national anthem as "one of the most beautiful pieces of music" while also calling it "the hardest to sing."

In a social media video posted in November about his upcoming Super Bowl performance, Puth explained that the "Star Spangled Banner" requires an extreme vocal range. He noted that while most songs span one octave—such as from a low D to a high D—the national anthem extends from a low D to a high A, presenting a significant technical challenge for performers.

Born in Rumson, New Jersey, Puth told CBS News in a 2022 interview that he recognized his musical talent from a very young age.

The pregame coverage for Super Bowl LX begins at noon ET on NBC, Telemundo, Universo, and Peacock. The pregame opening ceremony is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. ET. The event marks the 60th anniversary of the Super Bowl, with the NFL incorporating additional pregame programming featuring Green Day, Alcatraz, and other performances. The halftime show will feature Bad Bunny.
