Elettra Lamborghini will perform her new single "Voilà" at the Sanremo Festival, which begins in ten days. The song marks her return to the festival stage following her role as co-host during the 2025 edition.
"Voilà," written with Andrea Bonomo, Edwyn Roberts, and Pietro Celona, blends musical influences from ABBA and Raffaella Carrà. Lamborghini described the track as "a piece designed for the stage, for rhythm, for the body," and promised to make audiences dance.
The 31-year-old artist said she chose to pursue a different artistic direction with the song. "Why not," she explained, "take another path that doesn't seem banal to me. In this moment, thinking about lightness, dancing, and living despite everything is not a small challenge."
Lamborghini cited Raffaella Carrà as a major artistic inspiration. "She is Bolognese like me, iconic and always smiling," the artist said in an interview with Corriere della Sera. She noted that the sounds and lyrics of "Voilà" pay homage to the 1970s disco-dance era associated with Carrà's work.
Reflecting on the difference between Carrà's public reception and her own, Lamborghini observed that Carrà "never had harsh words said about her," whereas she herself is sometimes described as divisive. She attributed this partly to the absence of social media during Carrà's era. "In Carrà's time there were no social networks and all this information," she said, suggesting that the modern media landscape creates different dynamics around public figures.
This performance will follow Lamborghini's 2020 Sanremo debut with the song "Musica." She has emphasized the importance of bringing energy and irony to her stage presence, with social media posts promising to "make the Ariston dance."
