Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez married in a civil ceremony on Tuesday in Cascais, Portugal, the couple announced via Instagram. The 41-year-old Portuguese soccer player and 32-year-old model shared a photograph showing their hands together, each wearing a simple gold wedding band, captioned "C❤️G."
The couple has been together for nearly a decade, having met in June 2016 when Rodríguez worked as a sales associate at a luxury store in Madrid. Ronaldo proposed in August 2025, presenting Rodríguez with an oval diamond ring. At the time, she wrote on social media, "Yes, I want to. In this life and in all my lives."
According to a press release obtained by People, the wedding was an intimate ceremony attended only by their five children. Ronaldo has three children from previous relationships—Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. and twins Eva and Matteo, born via surrogacy. He and Rodríguez share two daughters, Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda.
Rodríguez is from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has appeared in the Netflix series "I Am Georgina," which premiered in 2022 and featured Ronaldo prominently.
In July, rumors circulated that the couple had secretly married after they were photographed arriving in Mallorca, Spain, both wearing bands on their ring fingers. The couple kept a low profile during that appearance.
Ronaldo, who plays for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, recently announced that the most recent World Cup would be his last international tournament. He became the first player to score a goal in six World Cup tournaments.
