Sean 'Diddy' Combs rushed from New Jersey prison to hospital with head injury

Sean "Diddy" Combs was transported by ambulance from FCI Fort Dix federal prison in New Jersey early Saturday morning for medical treatment following a head injury, according to sources at the facility.

The ambulance departed the prison around 1 a.m., with Combs reportedly taken to a nearby hospital, though the exact location has not been officially confirmed. Sources said he was conscious and speaking when transported and remained so upon his return to the prison before sunrise Saturday.

The nature and cause of the head injury remain unclear. Prison sources indicated the injury was not life-threatening.

Combs, 56, is serving a sentence of four years and two months for two counts related to transporting people for prostitution. He was convicted at federal trial and is approximately one year into his sentence. His release date was previously scheduled for January 2028 but has been pushed back to March 2028.

The incident occurred roughly ten days after reports emerged that Combs had been receiving special treatment while incarcerated. According to NBC reporting, he was paying fellow inmates thousands of dollars monthly for services including cooking, cleaning, laundry, and massages. He was also reported to have had access to alcohol and a cellphone containing explicit content.

Following those reports, Combs was transferred to the special housing unit, a more restrictive section of the prison. In July, he was involved in a physical altercation with another inmate. Prison officials have made adjustments to his housing and privileges in response to these incidents.

Combs was arrested in 2024. He was acquitted of charges related to sex trafficking and extortion but convicted on the prostitution transportation counts.
