Security footage released of Kelly Clarkson's Art of Play store visit

Security footage from Kelly Clarkson's visit to Art of Play, a novelty store in Brooklyn, has been released publicly, offering a visual record of the interaction at the center of an ongoing dispute between the singer and the business.

Investigative podcaster Pablo Torre obtained the footage and aired it as part of his podcast "Pablo Torre Finds Out" on Tuesday. The video shows Clarkson entering the shop wearing a yellow shirt, baggy pants, a baseball cap, and a backpack. She begins browsing the store, picking up a kaleidoscope and looking through it for several seconds before approaching Molly, an animatronic bird priced at $15,000 that has become the focal point of the feud.

The footage captures Clarkson flagging down an employee, identified by Torre as one of the shop's owners. Their exchange appears brief and unremarkable, though the video contains no audio. About five minutes after entering, Clarkson is seen waving her hands and speaking emotionally to the worker near the entrance before exiting the store.

Clarkson first made the dispute public over the weekend, alleging that she had driven to Art of Play intending to purchase several items but felt an employee had assumed she could not afford what she wanted. She characterized the treatment as resembling the "Pretty Woman" scenario, referencing the film in which a character faces dismissal based on appearance.
