Bayern Munich secured their 35th German league title on Sunday by defeating Stuttgart 4-2 at home, opening up an unassailable 15-point lead over second-placed Borussia Dortmund with four matches remaining.
Bayern came from a goal down to turn the match around quickly. Harry Kane, Raphael Guerreiro, Nicolas Jackson and Alphonso Davies scored for the hosts, while Chris Fuhrich and Chema Andres replied for Stuttgart.
Kane, the Bundesliga's top scorer, netted his 32nd goal of the campaign. The England captain said after the match: "It's been a fantastic season for us. To finish the league off in the way we have with the goals we scored ... credit to the lads ... we still have a lot to play for ... but all the hard work, this makes it all worth it."
Bayern's path to the title was eased by Borussia Dortmund's 2-1 defeat at Hoffenheim on Saturday, their second loss in two matches. Bayern needed only a point to clinch the title mathematically, but secured victory instead.
Coach Vincent Kompany rested several regular starters ahead of Wednesday's German Cup semifinal against Bayer Leverkusen. Kane, Michael Olise, Manuel Neuer, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah were left on the bench.
Bayern have set a new Bundesliga record for goals scored in a single season, reaching 109 with four games still to play. The previous all-time league record was 101 goals. Only two teams had previously reached the 100-goal mark in Bundesliga history: Bayern themselves in 1971-72 and 2019-20.
The attacking trio of Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Diaz have been central to Bayern's dominance this season. The three players have scored 59 of Bayern's 109 goals. Olise and Diaz were among the scorers in Bayern's opening 6-0 victory over RB Leipzig, where Kane scored a hat-trick, setting the tone for the campaign.
Bayern face Bayer Leverkusen in the German Cup semifinal next week before taking on Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal on April 28.
