Jorge Sampaoli was officially announced as the new head coach of Talleres de Córdoba on Wednesday, marking his first managerial position in Argentina's Primera División.

The 66-year-old, born in Casilda, will replace Carlos Tévez and lead the club through the second half of the season. Talleres announced the appointment through its social media channels.

Sampaoli brings more than thirty years of experience as a manager across multiple countries. He has previously coached teams in Perú, Ecuador, Chile, Spain, France, and Brazil. He also served as head coach of both the Chilean and Argentine national teams.

In a statement, Talleres said the signing "confirms the Club's willingness to take on challenges with concrete actions, making a significant effort to incorporate a coach with international trajectory, recognized leadership and strong competitive personality."

Sampaoli will now begin his tenure with the Córdoba-based club as it continues its campaign in the Argentine top flight.
