Kylian Mbappé said Monday that false information has circulated about his left knee injury, asserting he has made a full recovery after being sidelined for approximately one month.
Speaking at an event in Paris related to his involvement with French health technology company Alan, the Real Madrid forward addressed media inquiries about his injury status. "When you are a well-known personality, things are said without verification, but it doesn't matter. What is important is that I recover at 100 percent and I have been fortunate to find the right diagnosis upon arriving in Paris," Mbappé said.
He expressed frustration over unverified claims made during his absence. "There have been many lies said," he stated, referencing speculation that had included suggestions he risked ligament damage if he pushed the injured area.
Mbappé returned to action in recent weeks, appearing in the final minutes of Real Madrid's match against Manchester City. He subsequently played 26 minutes in a clasico against Atlético Madrid. His recovery has progressed sufficiently for France coach Didier Deschamps to include him in the squad for upcoming friendlies against Brazil on March 26 in Boston and Colombia on March 29 in Washington.
During the same Paris event, Mbappé also addressed France's recent municipal elections, which took place over the previous two weeks. Despite living in Spain, he said he fulfilled his "duty as a citizen" by voting. "I encourage everyone to vote. It is important because it is our future that is at stake," he said.
Mbappé's return to training and match action marks the end of an extended period away from competition following the left knee injury.
