Cody Gakpo opened the scoring for the Netherlands in the 72nd minute following a counterattack initiated by Crysencio Summerville, who assisted from the ground. Gakpo finished on his first touch. For the Netherlands, Koopmeiners and Weghorst scored; Kluivert hit the post, Timber shot wide, and Summerville's attempt was saved by goalkeeper Bono.
