Violent clashes between fans and police erupted across Paris overnight after Paris Saint-Germain qualified for the Champions League final by eliminating Bayern Munich, authorities said Thursday.

Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez said 127 people were arrested in the Paris metropolitan area, with 107 of those arrests occurring in Paris itself. The disturbances resulted in injuries, with reports indicating between 11 and 34 people were hurt, including at least one person with serious injuries.

PSG's victory secured the club a second consecutive appearance in the Champions League final and a third final since 2020. The semifinal win triggered the overnight unrest, with riot police deployed near landmarks including the Eiffel Tower as fans clashed with law enforcement across the capital.

Nuñez provided details of the arrests to Europe 1 radio on Thursday morning, confirming the scale of the disorder that followed the match result.
