Manchester City winger Savinho has expressed a desire to leave the club during the current transfer window, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. The 22-year-old Brazilian is seeking increased playing time and aims to find a club where he can advance his career.

Tottenham has emerged as the primary suitor for Savinho, placing him at the top of their transfer priorities. Spurs head coach Roberto de Zerbi is keen on the acquisition. However, Tottenham has encountered difficulties in closing the deal due to Manchester City's substantial asking price.

The decision on whether to facilitate the transfer rests with Manchester City, as the club is aware of Tottenham's interest. Savinho has made clear his willingness to move to London during this transfer window, with negotiations now underway.

Savinho joined Manchester City from sister club Troyes in July 2024 for £30.8 million, following a loan spell at Spanish side Girona. In his first season at the Etihad, he was a regular starter under manager Pep Guardiola. However, in the most recent campaign, he made 36 appearances but started only 14 matches, resulting in reduced playing time.

The Brazilian international has 13 caps for the national team but was not included in Brazil's 2026 World Cup squad. He signed a two-year contract extension with Manchester City in October 2025, keeping him at the club until 2031.

Tottenham previously attempted to sign Savinho in the summer of 2025, but Manchester City declined to sell at that time. The club's current interest comes as Spurs prepare significant changes to their squad following a turbulent Premier League campaign in which they narrowly avoided relegation, escaping the drop zone only on the final day of the season.

Savinho was developed through Atlético-MG's academy before moving to Europe in 2022. He joined Troyes initially before loan spells at PSV in the Netherlands and Girona in Spain, where he was among the standout performers during the Spanish club's remarkable 2023-24 season.
