Turkish Airlines will become Liverpool Football Club's main shirt sponsor beginning June 1, 2027, replacing Standard Chartered after a 17-year partnership that began in 2010.
The five-year agreement is valued at 300 million pounds sterling, equivalent to approximately 405 million U.S. dollars, and runs through the 2031-32 season. According to Liverpool's official communications, the deal constitutes the largest commercial sponsorship agreement in Premier League history covering only shirt sponsorship rights, positioning the club among the world's best-funded football operations. The arrangement is comparable to Manchester United's sponsorship contract with technology company Qualcomm, signed in 2024.
Under the partnership, the Turkish Airlines logo will appear on the chest of Liverpool's men's, women's, and academy team kits. Turkish Airlines will be the sixth main shirt sponsor to appear on the front of Liverpool's jersey throughout the club's history.
Ben Latti, Liverpool's chief commercial officer, emphasized the significance of the sponsorship asset. "The chest of our kits is something more than a place," Latti said, according to reports.
Turkish Airlines General Manager Ahmet Olmuştur framed the partnership as a convergence of global brands. "Liverpool Football Club, with its deep heritage and strong supporter community spanning the globe, is one of the world's most recognized and respected football clubs," Olmuştur said. "We are pleased that Turkish Airlines will be the club's main partner and that our brand will appear on one of world sport's most iconic kits."
Standard Chartered will conclude its sponsorship at the end of the 2026-27 campaign, marking the first change in Liverpool's main shirt sponsor since 2010. Other major Premier League clubs have secured larger overall partnerships that include additional commercial elements beyond kit sponsorship, such as Arsenal's deal with Emirates and Manchester City's arrangement with Etihad Airways, which encompass stadium naming rights.
