Germany's AfD party has imposed conditions on video streamer "Aktivist Mann" following his involvement in discussions during the Saxony-Anhalt state election campaign.
The party's federal board unanimously decided that the YouTuber will only be granted access to party events if he provides advance written assurance that he will not harass other streamers and journalists, according to the resolution. Should he violate this commitment, he faces removal from the events.
The decision was first reported by the Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland (RND). T-Online reported on Sunday about the draft resolution, which stated in its justification that the streamer apparently pursues a business model of presenting journalists viewed critically in AfD circles "through harassing questions and rude behavior." The resolution indicated this conduct does not meet "the intended behavioral standard" of the party.
The YouTuber, who operates under the name "Aktivist Mann," had generated controversy around the state campaign in Saxony-Anhalt. The party's move allows him to continue live-streaming from AfD events, provided he adheres to the behavioral conditions set by the federal board.
