Tiger Woods will return to competitive golf Tuesday night in the TGL Finals, marking his first competitive appearance in more than a year.

The 15-time major winner, 50, will play for Jupiter Links Golf Club against Los Angeles Golf Club at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The match begins at 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN. Jupiter Links announced the news with a statement from Woods saying simply: "I'm back."

Woods has not competed in a professional event since July 2024 at the Open Championship, where he missed the cut. His last competitive appearance in any format came at a TGL event in February 2025. He has held a non-playing role with Jupiter Links throughout the 2026 TGL season, serving as an adviser and unofficial cheerleader while recovering from surgery.

The 50-year-old underwent lumbar disc replacement surgery in October, his seventh back operation. He also suffered a left Achilles tendon rupture that occurred last spring. Woods will replace Kevin Kisner in the Jupiter Links lineup for Tuesday's match.

Jupiter Links trails Los Angeles 1-0 in the best-of-three finals series after losing the opening match Monday 6-5. Sahith Theegala birdied the final hole to secure the comeback victory for Los Angeles. Match 2 will proceed Tuesday night, with Match 3 to follow immediately after if necessary.

Woods' Jupiter Links team also includes Max Homa and Tom Kim. Los Angeles features England's Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood alongside Theegala. Jupiter Links advanced to the finals by defeating Rory McIlroy's Boston Common in the semi-final on March 17.

Jupiter alternate Akshay Bhatia is unavailable for the finals, having left to compete in the Hero Indian Open on the European tour this week.
