Gotham FC looks to return to winning ways against a struggling Denver Summit

Both teams need a win to climb the table. The defending champions are coming off a draw on Saturday following an opening victory against Boston, while the Denver side has started the championship with two draws.

Match Momentum

14' - Play was halted for a VAR check regarding a possible penalty, which was dismissed. It remains 0-0 at Sports Illustrated Stadium.

9' - Defensively, Denver Summit appears to be a team that doesn't take many risks and prioritizes ball possession. Amorós' side is finding it difficult to create space, whether out wide or through switches of play.

4' - Gotham's first attempt. Lampson looks very active, showing great mobility by capitalizing on loose balls and long passes. In the latest play, she received a long ball from Carter that reached her awkwardly, but she still managed to put the opposing defense under pressure.

0' - The match begins! Gotham / Summit is now underway.

The weather is another factor. The wind chill is only 5ºC (41ºF) due to a breeze blowing through every corner of the stadium.

The timing of the match is working against the host team. Since it is Wednesday at 7 PM, there do not appear to be more than 1,000 people in the stands as both squads take the field.
