Two 18-year-old brothers entered a secondary school in Coahuila, Mexico, and attacked people on the premises, killing the school's vice principal, according to the state prosecutor Federico Fernández.
The attack resulted in multiple casualties. Among the wounded were two students, one of whom is in serious condition and hospitalized. The vice principal was killed during the assault.
The two suspects, who are brothers, were apprehended at the scene. Authorities said the pair had previously attended the same school. Heavy police forces were deployed to the school grounds following the incident, and the area was cordoned off.
Investigators are examining the circumstances and motives behind the attack. According to the prosecutor, no firearm was used in the incident. Sharp objects and firecrackers were recovered and are believed to be connected to the attack.
Both suspects were taken into custody for questioning.
