Israeli strikes across Gaza killed at least four Palestinians on Saturday, with separate attacks targeting medicine warehouses adjacent to a hospital that officials describe as a critical facility for the region.
The strikes occurred days after Hamas and other Palestinian factions signed a disarmament agreement that the United States characterized as a breakthrough toward ending the conflict. An overnight attack struck a medicine warehouse next to tents sheltering displaced families in Deir el-Balah, in central Gaza.
According to Gaza's Health Ministry, eight Palestinians were killed and 76 wounded over the preceding 48 hours, with bodies transferred to hospitals in the territory. Among those killed, seven died in recent Israeli attacks and one died from complications of earlier injuries, the ministry said.
Gaza's Civil Defense reported recovering 112 bodies from rubble over the previous 136 hours in the al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City. The recovered remains included 40 children, 38 women, and seven people with disabilities. An additional 157 bodies remained missing, according to the Civil Defense.
The Health Ministry also reported that July saw 152 recorded deaths, marking the highest monthly toll since the start of the calendar year. Among those killed in July were 21 children, 14 women, and four elderly people, the ministry stated.
Israel has repeatedly violated a ceasefire technically in place since October 10, 2025, according to reports. The cumulative death toll in Gaza has reached approximately 73,350, based on figures from Palestinian health authorities.
