Saudi Arabian airstrikes on Sanaa airport, the capital of Yemen, killed at least two people Friday, according to a television network aligned with the Houthi movement.
The al-Masirah network, citing airport authority officials in the Houthi-controlled capital, reported that the afternoon strike resulted in two deaths and wounded two additional airport staff members.
The strikes came one day after the Houthi organization launched an attack on Riyadh airport, the capital of neighboring Saudi Arabia, which killed three people according to reports.
Sanaa's Civil Protection Service announced it extinguished four fires caused by the Saudi airstrikes. One of the strikes destroyed a factory, the service said.
The Houthis, formally known as Ansar Allah and backed by Iran, are engaged in an ongoing conflict with Yemen's internationally recognized government, which is supported by Saudi Arabia.
