Arisa submits song for Sanremo 2027, awaits response from De Martino

Italian singer Arisa has submitted a song to Stefano De Martino for consideration at the 2027 Sanremo Festival, marking an early entry into the selection process for the annual music competition.

Arisa revealed the submission during a press conference for "The Voice Senior," where she will appear as a jury member. She stated that she sent the track to De Martino, who serves as both conductor and artistic director for the 2027 and 2028 editions of the festival, but has not received a response.

"I sent it to him, of course, but it's still a demo that needs to be developed," Arisa said at the event. "He hasn't responded to me, but I will continue to send it on that WhatsApp number," she added, indicating her intention to persist in her efforts to secure a spot in the competition.

De Martino set November 23 as the deadline for artists and record labels to submit songs for the festival. Arisa's early submission comes more than four months before the official start of the 77th edition of the Sanremo Festival.

Arisa is pursuing her ninth participation in the festival. Last year, she finished fourth in the final rankings with the song "Magica Favola." Her current bid for inclusion in the 2027 lineup represents a continuation of her regular presence at Italy's most prominent annual music and television event.

De Martino's role as artistic director marks his first time holding the position. The selection process typically occurs during the autumn months, with the artistic director working to assemble the roster of competing artists for the festival.
