Morrissey has canceled his entire four-show Las Vegas residency scheduled for August 14, 15, 18 and 19 at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas, according to announcements made Friday.
Ticket holders were informed that the residency was canceled due to "unforeseen logistical challenges." The shows have been removed from Wynn's entertainment calendar, and Ticketmaster now lists the events as canceled. Morrissey's official website has not provided additional explanation for the cancellation.
The cancellation comes one week before the first scheduled performance. Ticketmaster informed ticket purchasers that the event was canceled by the organizer.
Morrissey, the former lead singer of The Smiths, has a documented history of canceling or postponing concerts. In November 2025, he canceled two U.S. shows after his team reported receiving a credible death threat ahead of a planned performance in Ottawa, Canada. He also canceled a string of North American dates in 2024, initially citing "unforeseen circumstances."
In March 2026, Morrissey canceled a performance in Valencia, Spain. At that time, his website stated that noisy festivalgoers outside his hotel prevented him from sleeping, leaving him in a "catatonic state."
Following The Smiths' breakup in 1987, Morrissey launched a solo career. The British rock band featured guitarist Johnny Marr, bassist Andy Rourke and drummer Mike Joyce alongside Morrissey.
