Queen's Roger Taylor releases 'I See You Now' ahead of September album

Queen drummer, songwriter and singer Roger Taylor released "I See You Now" as the second single from his forthcoming album "Violence Insane In A Beautiful World," which is due September 18 via Columbia Records.

The track debuted on BBC Radio 2 earlier today. Taylor described the song as a love song about his wife, explaining the meaning behind it. "It's really about my wife. We've been together for quite some time, and I think when you really get to know someone, at first you really don't see everything about them, but when you really get to know someone, it's 'oh, I see you now, that's it,'" he said.

The song opens with the lyrics "We've been together for some time now, through all kinds of weather, but we're still dreamin'." An accompanying music video, created by Taylor's wife Sarina Taylor and longtime collaborator Simon Lupton, features a black-and-white aesthetic with the exception of Taylor's striking ruby-red hi-tops.

"Violence Insane In A Beautiful World" marks Taylor's seventh solo album in a career stretching back to 1977 and his first since 2021. The album was previously preceded by the single "Come On Summer (It's Party Time)," which featured a performance by The Ndlovu Youth Choir.
