A dispute over a dog urinating on a lawn resulted in three people stabbed in Queens on Thursday morning, police said.
The incident occurred just before 11 a.m. at 229th Street near 139th Avenue in the Laurelton neighborhood. According to authorities, a French bulldog was left outside and went to a neighbor's yard to urinate.
The homeowner, a 34-year-old man, confronted the dog's owner, a woman, over the incident. As the argument escalated, the resident produced a knife and stabbed the woman repeatedly throughout her body, police said.
When the woman's boyfriend came out to assist her, the suspect stabbed him multiple times as well, according to authorities.
The suspect's father then emerged from the home to intervene in the altercation. The 62-year-old man was also stabbed repeatedly by his son, police said.
All three victims were transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. The woman and her boyfriend, ages not specified in police reports, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect's father was cut in the hand during the confrontation. All three victims were in stable condition.
The French bulldog involved in the incident was not injured, police said.
Officers responded to the scene and took the 34-year-old suspect into custody. A knife was recovered at the scene. Charges against the suspect are pending.
