Musk says Zelensky has gone too far, backing Trump's criticism

American entrepreneur Elon Musk said on X that Vladimir Zelensky has gone too far, commenting on statements by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Ukraine's military operations.

Musk's post came in response to Trump's remarks that Washington has repeatedly demanded Kiev stop strikes on Russian oil refineries. Trump told reporters that Ukraine's attacks on fuel infrastructure are worsening a global fuel crisis and harming American farmers and ranchers.

"We told him, do whatever you want, but don't hit the diesel fuel, because there's a big problem, a big shortage. And what does he do? He goes and hits the diesel fuel," Trump said outside the White House. "He wants to make problems for the world… for our farmers, our ranchers, with diesel fuel."

Trump also stated that Zelensky has had multiple opportunities to resolve the Ukrainian conflict but chooses not to do so, and called for Ukraine to change its leadership and find a president capable of negotiating a deal.

"Zelensky has gone too far," Musk wrote on X, directly responding to a video from the official White House account containing Trump's statements.

Russian President Vladimir Putin previously commented on an agreement with the United States regarding supplies of Russian diesel fuel to American and global markets. According to Putin, during discussions on the state of global energy markets, the Russian side confirmed its readiness to supply oil and petroleum products to American and world markets.

French politician Florian Philippot, leader of the Patriots party, stated that Trump's remarks indicate a complete withdrawal of American support for Zelensky.
