Seattle Reign FC secured a 1-1 comeback draw against the Orlando Pride at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando on Sunday night, concluding the 2025 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) regular season. The result placed Reign FC (10-7-9, 39 points) in fifth place, just behind the fourth-place Orlando Pride (11-8-7, 40 points).

The draw immediately sets up a rematch between the two clubs, who will face each other in the quarterfinals of the 2025 NWSL Playoffs, presented by Google Pixel. Reign FC will remain in Orlando to prepare for the playoff match, which is scheduled for Friday at Inter&Co Stadium.

The Decision Day contest saw both teams create dangerous chances throughout the first half, but the score remained 0-0 at halftime. The deadlock was finally broken late in the second half when Orlando Pride defender Carson Pickett put the home side ahead in the 76th minute, controlling a pass inside the box and finishing into the net.

Seattle responded rapidly, equalizing just three minutes later. Defender Jordyn Bugg met a cross delivered by Madison Curry near the goal box and fired a low shot into the center of the net in the 79th minute. The goal marked the 19-year-old Bugg's third goal of the season and her NWSL career. According to club officials, all three of Bugg's goals this season have carried game-deciding implications, including a previous game-winning goal and a game-tying goal.

The match, which had an attendance of 8,689, concluded the regular season series between the two teams. Reign FC now holds an all-time record of 7-5-8 against the Pride across all competitions.

The appearance on Sunday night was significant for Seattle goalkeeper Claudia Dickey, who played every minute of the 2025 regular season. The match marked her 50th regular-season appearance, tying Hope Solo for the most appearances by a goalkeeper in club history.

The upcoming quarterfinal match against the Pride marks the third time in club history that Seattle has faced the same opponent in the first round of the playoffs immediately following the close of the regular season. In 2015, Reign FC finished the season against the Washington Spirit before hosting them in the semifinals. In 2018, Seattle closed the season against the Portland Thorns before meeting them again on the road in the semifinals.
