Stefano De Martino, guest on Fabio Fazio's program "Che Tempo Che Fa" yesterday evening, addressed questions about Sanremo 2027 with characteristic irony while offering glimpses into his preparation for the festival.

With nine months remaining until the event, De Martino used a metaphorical description of the timeline. "Today we are nine months away from Sanremo: we are at the moment of conception. We will give birth to a festival," he said. "The thing that truly moves me is that right now I could have in my hands the ugliest festival in history or a wonderful festival."

De Martino reflected on his earlier statements about wanting to host Sanremo with some gray hair. "I had said that I wanted to do Sanremo with some white hair, then I understood that when they give you Sanremo, white hair comes on its own," he joked with Fazio. "It's a side effect."

During the appearance, Fazio staged a simulation of a typical Sanremo press conference, posing contradictory questions to test De Martino's responses. The host and artistic director appeared relaxed and composed throughout the exchange, defending himself well against the rapid-fire inquiries.

When asked about his level of preparation, De Martino acknowledged his ongoing work. "I study to defend myself," he said with a smile. He emphasized that he is working on a festival for everyone, indicating a broad vision for the event's scope and appeal.

Regarding the specifics of Sanremo 2027, De Martino indicated that concrete plans are already taking shape. When Fazio pressed him on the selection of singers and co-hosts, De Martino stated that "an idea is already there," suggesting that decisions on key participants are already being formulated despite the early stage of overall preparations.

De Martino, currently the host of the game show "Affari Tuoi," has been tasked with directing the artistic vision of the 2027 festival, a responsibility he acknowledged carries significant weight and complexity.
