Snoop Dogg served as an official torch bearer for the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics on Wednesday, carrying the Olympic flame through the streets of Gallarate under scenic snowfall.
The California-based rapper, born in 1971 with an estimated net worth of $160 million and 35 million records sold, wore the official Games uniform as he traversed the city center. He carried the torch alongside 14 other bearers, including chef Davide Oldani, journalist Monica Maggioni, and content creator Ludovica Tomasoni.
The torch relay drew thousands of students and residents who lined the streets to watch the procession. The snowfall was produced by Alfa in collaboration with the municipal administration, creating what organizers described as a scenic backdrop for the event.
Earlier on Wednesday, Snoop Dogg made a surprise appearance at U.S. figure skating team practice sessions. Video footage circulated online showing him arriving at the ice-making machine and enthusiastically commenting on the skating of Ilia Malinin, a top U.S. figure skater. During that appearance, he wore an oversized white fur coat with details referencing the American flag.
Snoop Dogg's involvement with the Olympics extends from his presence at the Paris 2024 Games, where he gained prominence as a spectator and commentator at various events. His participation in the Milan Cortina torch relay marks a continuation of his role in Olympic coverage and entertainment.
