New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and the United States Tennis Association announced 1,000 discounted tickets to the U.S. Open, expanding access to the year's final Grand Slam tournament for city residents.
The 1,000 tickets will be available for purchase by New York City residents on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning Wednesday. The initiative aims to give more New Yorkers the opportunity to attend matches at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens.
The U.S. Open is the final Grand Slam tournament of the professional tennis calendar. The announcement comes as the tournament continues at the facility in the Queens borough of New York City.
