Victor Wembanyama addressed an incident in which objects appeared to be thrown at him outside a New York City hotel after Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night.
Videos circulating on social media showed items being hurled from a crowd in the direction of the San Antonio Spurs' 7-foot-4 player as he returned to the team hotel following the Knicks' victory. One video appeared to show an egg striking a pole near Wembanyama at the hotel entrance.
"I didn't really think much of it," Wembanyama said Friday, addressing the incident publicly for the first time. "I just saw that one video of the eggs."
As of Saturday morning, no complaint had been filed with the New York Police Department regarding the incident, according to an NYPD spokesperson.
