The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will face off on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley, approximately one hour's drive south of San Francisco.
Every Super Bowl absorbs the culture of its host city. South Beach defines Miami's Super Bowl. The French Quarter characterizes New Orleans. Hollywood shapes Los Angeles. The Silicon Valley location will similarly influence this year's event, drawing on the region's distinctive character.
The proximity to some of the world's largest technology companies, venture capital firms, and entertainment businesses will ensure the presence of a notable gathering of corporate executives, celebrities, and those seeking to connect with them. The stadium will host a cross-section of figures from the technology and business sectors.
Venky Ganesan, a partner at Menlo Ventures, a Silicon Valley investment firm, described the event as a unique convergence. "The Super Bowl in the Bay Area is the perfect juxtaposition of 'Ballers' meets 'Billions' meets 'Silicon Valley,'" Ganesan said. "Just like those three shows, all the characters that make those caricatures real are appearing in the stadium."
Ganesan indicated he planned to attend the game as a guest. The event will bring together the personalities and figures who populate the region's business, entertainment, and technology landscapes.
