The 76th edition of the Sanremo Music Festival, scheduled for February 24–28 at the Teatro Ariston, is in the final stages of planning, with organizers still determining the lineup of guest performers.
According to reports, Carlo Conti, the festival's artistic director, is working to secure Tiziano Ferro as one of the event's superospiti, or featured guest performers. Ferro last appeared at the Ariston in 2020, when he served as a fixed guest across five evenings during the edition conducted by Amadeus.
Ferro released his latest album, "Sono un grande," on October 24. He is preparing for a stadium tour beginning May 30 in Lignano Sabbiadoro and running through July 12, with stops scheduled in Milan, Turin, Bologna, Padua, Rome, Naples, Ancona, Bari, and Messina. A Sanremo appearance would precede the tour launch by several months.
The singer's last performance on the Ariston stage was in 2020. His fans have been awaiting his return to concert performances since 2023.
While Conti has not officially announced the guest performers for the 2026 festival, media outlets have speculated on potential names. In addition to Ferro, reports suggest that Eros Ramazzotti, who recently released the album "Una Storia Importante," is among those being considered for a return appearance at the festival.
The festival's young artist finalists, main competition entries, song titles, and co-host have already been announced. The guest performer lineup remains one of the final elements to be revealed before the festival begins.
