The United States government will issue limited-edition passports this summer featuring President Donald Trump's photograph, as part of the nation's commemoration of its 250th anniversary of independence.
The special passports will display Trump's portrait on the inside cover, surrounded by text from the Declaration of Independence and US flag motifs, with his signature rendered in gold. A separate page will feature the famous painting of the founding fathers signing the Declaration of Independence.
State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott confirmed the release in a statement, describing the passports as customized artwork created to mark the historic occasion. The documents are set to become available this summer as part of the broader "America250" celebration.
The Trump administration has organized multiple events to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence in July. Beyond the passport initiative, the celebration includes a Grand Prix race scheduled for the National Mall in August and a UFC fight planned for the White House South Lawn in June.
The limited-edition passport designs were obtained exclusively by Fox News Digital, which published mockups showing the layout and imagery. The passports represent a departure from standard US travel documents, incorporating presidential imagery and commemorative elements specific to the anniversary year.
State Department officials said the special passports would be released in limited quantities, distinguishing them from the regular passport stock issued throughout the year. The exact number of limited-edition passports to be produced has not been disclosed.
