Russian strikes kill 11, injure 55 across eastern Ukraine
Overnight attacks with drones, bombs and artillery targeted multiple regions including Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv.

Russian airborne assaults on eastern and southern Ukraine killed at least 11 people and injured 55 over Tuesday and overnight, authorities said.
The attacks involved almost 180 incoming drones, aerial bombs and artillery fire across multiple regions. Donetsk province, a frontline area, sustained the heaviest casualties. Governor Vadym Filashkin said five people were killed in strikes on two villages near Krematorsk and a third village near Sloviansk, with six people injured in separate attacks across the region.
In Dnipropetrovsk region, two people were killed and nine injured in Synelnykove district, located 25 miles southeast of Dnipro, after three communities were targeted with drones, aerial bombs and artillery fire, according to Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration head Oleksandr Ganzha. At least 16 private houses were destroyed in the strikes.
Kharkiv region experienced sustained Russian bombardment over the past 24 hours. Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that Russian forces struck Kharkiv and 16 other settlements in the region, injuring ten people. The invaders used one missile, four guided aerial bombs and 39 drones of various types, including Geran-2, Lancet, Molniya and FPV drones.
In Kharkiv city proper, Russian drones attacked the Shevchenkivskyi, Nemyshlianskyi and Saltivskyi districts. Damage was caused to power lines, a civilian enterprise, windows in three buildings and a car. Three men aged 61, 54 and 52 sustained injuries, and a 34-year-old man suffered an acute stress reaction.
In the Kharkiv district, a civilian enterprise in Merefa and a non-residential building in Rohan were damaged. In the Kupiansk district, an enemy strike damaged a private home in Husynka, a car in Myrne and two vehicles in Prosyanka, including an emergency medical vehicle. Two women aged 70 and 84 were among those injured in Prosyanka.
City Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported a separate strike on the Nemyshlianskyi district that hit a civilian enterprise. Initial reports indicated one injured person, but by 13:00 the number had risen to three. The injured were identified as men aged 52, 54 and 62, all receiving medical assistance. Warehouse facilities and a fence were damaged in that strike.
Earlier on March 16, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with a Geran-2 unmanned aerial vehicle. One person was injured in the Shevchenkivskyi district, and three apartment buildings were damaged.
