Russian forces carried out sustained attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk region over three consecutive days, striking civilian infrastructure and residential areas across multiple districts.
On April 19, Russian forces conducted nearly 20 strikes using drones, aerial bombs, and artillery against Kryvyi Rih and the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts. Six people were wounded in the attacks, according to Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
In the Nikopol district and surrounding communities including Pokrovske, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets, and Myrove, enterprises, infrastructure, private houses, a five-story residential building, and an outbuilding sustained damage. Five people were injured in these strikes. Three were hospitalized, with a 74-year-old man reported in serious condition. In Kryvyi Rih, a fire broke out following the strikes, with infrastructure and multi-story residential buildings damaged. A 39-year-old man was injured in the city.
The following day, April 20, Russian forces escalated their campaign, conducting nearly 70 attacks on the region using drones, artillery, and an aerial bomb. Three people were killed and eight others were injured across the Nikopol, Kryvyi Rih, and Synelnykove districts, Hanzha reported.
In Nikopol and communities within the Nikopol district including Marhanets, Pokrovske, Myrove, and Chervonohryhorivka, damage was reported to an enterprise, a stadium, a gas station, apartment buildings, and vehicles. Two women were killed in these strikes. Seven others were injured, with two men aged 33 and 52 hospitalized in moderate condition. The 74-year-old man wounded during the April 19 attack died in hospital on April 20.
In the Synelnykove district communities of Pokrovske, Vasylkivka, Mezhova, and Mykolaivka, a cultural center was destroyed in the strikes.
On the night of April 20 into April 21, Russian troops conducted nearly 10 additional strikes on the region using drones, artillery, and an aerial bomb, leaving four people injured. In the Nikopol district, strikes hit the town of Nikopol and the communities of Chervonohryhorivka, Myrove, and Marhanets. Two teenagers aged 16 and 18 were injured and hospitalized in moderate condition.
In the Synelnykove district, the communities of Dubovykivka, Mykolaivka, and Pokrovske came under attack. Two private houses were destroyed, and two additional homes caught fire. Two men were injured: a 65-year-old man was hospitalized in moderate condition, while a 40-year-old man received outpatient treatment.
