Zelenskyy says Trump's shift to Russia's side is painful

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview that it is painful when U.S. President Donald Trump chooses one side in the Russia-Ukraine conflict rather than remaining neutral.

Speaking on the program "Piers Morgan Uncensored," Zelenskyy stated: "It is painful when President Trump chooses one side — and that is not our side." He expressed disappointment over Trump's recent positions, which have included openly calling for Zelenskyy's replacement as Ukraine's leader.

Zelenskyy said he would not object to the United States maintaining a neutral stance between Ukraine and Russia, but emphasized that neutrality requires consistency. "I have no problem if Trump is in the middle between Ukraine and Russia. But if you are in the middle, you must remain in the middle," he said.
