Yemeni media reported Tuesday that the country's army targeted an Aramco oil refinery in Jizan, southwestern Saudi Arabia, with several attack drones. Yemen's official news agency, citing a military source, said multiple drones struck the refinery, triggering powerful explosions in the area.
According to the military source, the attack was carried out in response to violations of Yemeni airspace by Saudi-led coalition fighter jets over Yemen's northern provinces of Saada and Hajjah.
As of Tuesday's reporting, there were no confirmed details on the extent of damage or possible casualties. Saudi authorities and Aramco had not issued statements on the reported attack at the time of publication.
Yemen's Council of Ministers stressed the country's full readiness and said Saudi Arabia had no choice but to submit.
