Haiti announced its 26-player squad Friday for the 2026 World Cup, marking the nation's return to the tournament after a 52-year absence. The squad will compete in Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland and Morocco.
French coach Sébastien Migné selected an experienced roster led by 38-year-old goalkeeper Johny Placide, who plays for Bastia. The squad also includes Duckens Nazon, Haiti's all-time leading goalscorer with 44 goals in 76 appearances. Nazon scored six times during World Cup qualifying. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, a midfielder for Wolverhampton Wanderers, is among the most prominent European-based players in the group.
Haiti's group-stage schedule begins June 13 against Scotland at Gillette Stadium. The team will then face Brazil on June 19 at Lincoln Financial Field, followed by a match against Morocco on June 24 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The goalkeepers named to the squad are Johny Placide, Alexandre Pierre and Josué Duverger. The defensive contingent includes Carlens Arcus, Wilguens Paugain, Ricardo Adé, Jean Kévin Duverne, Hannes Delcroix, Keeto Thermoncy, Martin Expérience and Duke Lacroix. The midfielders and forwards selected are Josué Casimir, Leverton Pierre, Dominique Simon, Woodensky Pierre, Carl Fred Sainté, Danley Jean-Jacques, Jean Ricner Bellegarde, Duckens Nazon, Frantzdy Pierrot, Deedson Louicius and Ruben Providence.
Before the World Cup, Haiti will play warm-up matches against New Zealand and Peru.
