A man was arrested after throwing a green sex toy onto the court during the Atlanta Dream versus Los Angeles Sparks game Thursday night at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The incident occurred with under three minutes remaining in the third quarter as Jihyun Park stood at the free-throw line. The object landed on the court near the Sparks forward, prompting officials to halt play.
Angel Reese, watching from the Dream bench, immediately pointed out the person responsible to arena security. Video footage showed the alleged thrower, wearing a Lakers No. 77 Luka Doncic jersey, running from the 100s section. He pushed a security guard at the top of the stairs while attempting to flee.
During the stoppage, someone placed a towel over the object on the court. Sparks star Cameron Brink kicked the toy and towel toward a staffer, who removed it from the hardwood.
Arena security apprehended the man after he was identified. According to Front Office Sports, the individual was arrested and received an indefinite ban from all WNBA, NBA and other league-affiliated games and events. The person was not named in reports.
Reese was heard on video repeatedly saying "Right there! Get him!" while pointing out the perpetrator's location to security personnel.
