An arrest has been made in connection with a chaotic street takeover in Queens that drew large crowds and resulted in dangerous vehicle stunts, authorities said.

The incident occurred early Saturday around 2 a.m. at the intersection of 69th Street and Elliot Avenue in Middle Village, on the border of Maspeth. Video from the scene showed approximately 100 people gathered at the location, with dozens of vehicles performing donuts around a ring of fire in the middle of the street. The fire was set between two gas stations at the intersection.

Police said multiple individuals jumped onto the hood of a responding NYPD patrol vehicle, cracking the windshield before fleeing the scene. Authorities estimate nearly 100 vehicles were involved in the takeover, with some drivers performing dangerous stunts that nearly struck people in the crowd.

The NYPD has identified eight suspects in total—seven males and one female—wanted for reckless endangerment. Six of the suspects were performing donuts in the intersection, while two jumped on the marked police vehicle. At least one person has been arrested in connection with the incident, and another person of interest is in custody, according to police.

Investigators have released new images of suspects as the search continues. Among those sought are a man seen behind the wheel of a car wearing a light-colored quarter-zip sweater and an individual shown from two angles wearing a black hoodie and white sneakers. The NYPD initially released 11 photos of cars and suspects believed to be tied to the event before issuing additional images of specific individuals.

Police have seized at least two vehicles linked to the meetup as part of the ongoing investigation. Council Member Phil Wong met Tuesday with NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch to discuss the incident. Wong said the department is committed to putting additional officers in the area.
