Arsenal defeated Burnley 1-0 on Sunday at Emirates Stadium, moving five points clear of Manchester City in the Premier League title race.

Kai Havertz scored the match's only goal with a header from a corner kick. The victory leaves Arsenal on 82 points from 37 matches played, with one game remaining in the season.

Manchester City, currently in second place with 77 points, has one match left to play. City visits Bournemouth on Tuesday. Arsenal's lead means the club can secure the title by winning their final fixture, or potentially earlier depending on City's result.

The match took place at Emirates Stadium in London, with thousands of Arsenal supporters greeting the team on arrival. The anticipation before kickoff was described as palpable.

Arsenal's defense remained solid throughout the contest. Goalkeeper David Raya did not face any saves during the match. The second half saw Arsenal offer little in attack while maintaining their defensive shape.

Burnley, already relegated from the Premier League, offered limited threat. The match saw several substitutions in the closing stages, with Arsenal bringing on Gabriel Martinelli and Martín Zubimendi late in the game. Leandro Trossard departed due to injury.

Yellow cards were issued to Lucas Pires of Burnley and Zian Flemming of Burnley for dangerous play. Seven minutes of added time were announced by the fourth official.

The result leaves the Premier League standings with Arsenal in first place on 82 points, Manchester City second on 77 points, Manchester United third on 68 points, Aston Villa fourth on 62 points, and Liverpool fifth on 59 points. All teams listed have played 37 matches except Manchester City, which has played 36.

Arsenal last won the Premier League title in 2004, a span of 22 years. The club also reached the Champions League final this season.
