Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned Wednesday that countries collaborating with Israel against Iran will face accountability, following the public revelation that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly visited the United Arab Emirates during recent military operations.
Netanyahu's office disclosed that the Israeli premier met with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during the trip, which occurred after the launch of military aggression on February 28. The UAE foreign ministry had previously denied reports of Netanyahu's recent visit to the country.
"Netanyahu has now publicly revealed what Iran's security services long ago conveyed to our leadership," Araghchi wrote on X. "Enmity with the Great People of Iran is a foolish gamble. Collusion with Israel in doing so: unforgivable. Those colluding with Israel to sow division will be held to account."
The Iranian foreign minister's statement came as he addressed the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of BRICS Member States in New Delhi. During that address, Araghchi emphasized that Iranians will never bow down to external pressures or threats, and stressed that the country's Armed Forces are fully prepared to defend the rights of its people.
"There is no such thing as a military solution to anything related to Iran," Araghchi said at the BRICS meeting.
Yemen's Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulwahid Abu Ras also weighed in on the situation, writing to Araghchi that continuing aggression against Iran will drag the region and the world into war with consequences affecting everyone. Abu Ras stated that aggressions against the Islamic Republic undermine regional and global security and stability, and will negatively affect the global economy and energy prices.
Abu Ras added that aggressions against Iran target the entire Muslim Ummah, calling it necessary for all Islamic countries to confront such aggression.
