Andy Murray has joined Jack Draper's coaching team for the grass-court season, including Wimbledon, which begins June 29. The move follows Draper's decision to part ways with coach Jamie Delgado after six months of working together.
Murray, 38, a three-time Grand Slam champion and two-time Wimbledon winner, has not been involved on the professional tour since completing a six-month coaching stint with Novak Djokovic that ended last year. The former world number one brings considerable experience on grass courts, having won the Queen's Club Championships five times.
Draper, currently ranked fourth in the world after reaching that career-high ranking last year, is recovering from a knee injury and a bone bruise in his serving arm that has limited his play since last summer. He is targeting a comeback at the HSBC Championships at Queen's Club in June.
"I am very grateful for everything Jamie Delgado has done for me over these past six months," Draper said in a statement. "He is a world-class coach and a great man. In the interim, I will continue to be supported by the excellent team at the LTA, with the addition of Andy, who will be supporting me throughout the grass-court season."
Murray and Draper have previous experience together, having played against each other in 2023 at Indian Wells and spent time as British Davis Cup team-mates. Delgado previously worked as a coach for Murray during his career.
