FIFA tripled the price of its best available tickets to the World Cup final, making $32,970 seats available Thursday for the July 19 match at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The seats were listed as front category one on FIFA's sales site. Previously, the highest price for category one tickets had been $10,990. As of Thursday night, the $10,990 category for the final was available only as wheelchair and easy access amenity category one.
The final will be held at the venue temporarily renamed from MetLife Stadium ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Semifinal tickets were priced lower than the championship match. For the July 14 semifinal at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, FIFA listed seats at $11,130, $4,330, $3,710 and $2,705. Seats for the following day's semifinal at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium were priced at $10,635, $3,545 and $2,725.
Earlier matches also carried different price points. Seats for the U.S. opener against Paraguay on June 12 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, were made available at various price levels, though specific figures for that match were not fully detailed in the ticket listings released Thursday.
